    This mid to upper-level management position reports to the Marketing & Policy Services Vice President and will oversee the company’s policy services operations along with other policy services processes. Protecting the company’s assets through sound leadership, quality customer service, sound underwriting and business practices, while displaying strategic vision is vital. This person will assure delivery of (1) “best in class” customer service (2) quality policy services handling (3) effective underwriting decision making and (4) continuous departmental and company improvement. This will require delivery and feedback on the development of employees at all levels, as well as the ability to succession plan.  Finally, as a member of the policy services leadership team, the Policy Services Manager will be expected to exhibit strong interpersonal skills with other departments and team members, while providing strong contributions to overall company and policy services department success.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage 3-5 Policy services Supervisors as direct reports and multiple policy services processes- including coaching, development, and succession planning
    • Effectively communicate operational procedures to staff and related team members
    • Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
    • Implement and uphold all policies of Traders, ensuring all operations are consistent with the stated mission and direction set forth
    • Ability to drive superior results through the knowledge and application of management level leadership skills and technical expertise
    • Assist in setting and attaining annual goals and objectives for the policy services department
    • Demonstrated ownership attitude with the ability to make analytical and accurate decisions- including completing regular reporting, quality assurance, and analysis related to the policy services department performance
    • Excellent people skills and positive working relationships with other groups and vendors, internally and externally
    • Deep understanding, knowledge, and application of Word, Excel and other PC programs
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years policy services/underwriting experience OR Juris Doctor of Law
    • 3+ years of supervisory experience with 5+ direct reports, including hiring & performance management preferred
    • Experience directing & handling underwriting and customer services
    • Experience developing and implementing policy services operations policies and procedures
    • Agent License preferred
    • Ability to maintain Agent license as required
    • Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years policy services/underwriting experience OR Juris Doctor of Law
    • 3+ years of supervisory experience with 5+ direct reports, including hiring & performance management preferred
    • Experience directing & handling underwriting and customer services
    • Experience developing and implementing policy services operations policies and procedures
    • Agent License preferred
