The Bilingual Customer Service Specialist position reports directly to Centralize Services Unit Supervisor and specializes in performing tasks in support of the Call Center and Representatives. This position is to assist the department overall in reaching Company goals and objectives while allowing the Representatives to conclude their claim handling in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Answers basic claim inquiry questions to assist external customers
  • Transfer calls to Representatives that involve coverage, liability or indemnity and handle all other inquiry type calls
  • Determining what information can be released to a customer and to whom.
  • Set up new claims
  • Demonstrates empathy towards colleagues and customers
  • Efficient communication with customers and file notation
  • Knows the importance of planning and prioritizing personal workload to meet business requirements.
  • Due to the nature of this role consistent attendance is mandatory
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Will consider new college graduates with a desire to work in the insurance policy services field.
  • Must be able to interpret and analyze oral and written communication in English and Spanish
  • Must be able to demonstrate good time management skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems, Word and Excel programs
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Conversational Spanish is required.
