This Fast Track Claims Manager position reports directly to the Director of Claims and will oversee two to three supervisors with teams of auto adjusters handling auto property damage in a fast paced environment.  Protecting the company’s assets through sound leadership, claims and business practices, while displaying strategic vision is vital. This person will assure delivery of (1) “best in class” customer service (2) quality claims handling (3) loss adjustment expense control and (4) continuous improvement. Delivers on the development of employees at all levels and has the ability to succession plan.  Finally, as a member of the claims leadership team, the Fast Track Claims Manager will be expected to exhibit strong interpersonal skills with other departments and team members, while providing strong contributions to overall company and claims department success.

Responsibilities

  • Produces standard claim outcomes by effectively managing 2-3 Claims Supervisors as direct reports. This includes coaching, development, and succession planning.
  • Effectively communicate and execute on operational procedures and processes to staff.
  • Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Implements and upholds all policies of Traders. Ensure all operations are consistent with the stated mission and direction set forth.
  • Ability to drive superior results through the knowledge and application of management level leadership skills and technical expertise.
  • Assists in setting and attaining annual goals and objectives for the claims department.
  • Demonstrates ownership attitude with the ability to be analytical and make accurate decisions.
  • Includes completing monthly reporting of KPIs and other results related to the claims department performance.
  • Excellent people skills and positive working relationships with other groups and vendors, internally and externally.
  • Deep understanding, knowledge, and application of Word, Excel and other PC programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of auto claims handling experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience with 6+ direct reports.
  • Claims knowledge involving state minimum policy limits is a plus.
  • Experience developing and implementing claims operations policies and procedures.
  • AIC or CPCU degree is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain adjuster license in required states.
