The Internal Estimator is responsible for helping our customers get back on the road after an accident. In addition, you will assure delivery of “best in class” customer service and contribute to the quality of our claims handling through excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Every day is different as you work to resolve problems and we ask that you be willing to work hard in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. It is also expected this person exhibit strong interpersonal skills with other team members, while providing strong contributions to overall company and claims department success.

Responsibilities

  • Write and review auto physical damage estimates
  • Obtain values on total loss/physical damage vehicles based on pre-existing damage, mileage, and wear and tear.
  • Coordinate the relocation of total loss vehicles to salvage yards or other locations to minimize storage fees.
  • Partners with appraisers, estimators, and vendors to manage vehicle repairs or the total loss process.
  • Sets timely, adequate reserves in compliance with the company reserving philosophy.
  • Demonstrates ownership attitude with the ability to be analytical and make accurate decisions.
  • Personal computer literate with proficiency in the use of Word and Excel.
  • Ensures all operations are consistent with the stated mission and direction set forth by Traders.
  • All other duties as assigned.
    • Assist with Sub-Demands

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or four years related work experience.
  • 1-3 years of prior experience as an auto claims representative. Prior property damage training and experience is a plus.
  • AIC or CPCU degree or equivalent insurance course preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster license in required states
  • Experienced writing and/or reviewing auto physical damage estimates
  • Subrogation experience is a plus.
