This Helpdesk Support I position installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computers, hardware, and peripherals for office and remote users. Successful candidates will perform new and replacement PC setups for employees and other IT tasks to support business operations. Must be customer service-focused and responsive to questions and requests in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.  Successful candidates will also maintain an inventory and log activity.  They will work under direct supervision, reporting to the Director of Information Technology.  Candidates must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft products and should be able to demonstrate generalized proficiency in other computer-related disciplines.  Typically requires 0-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to queries via chat, email, or phone in language the client can understand
  • Deploying PCs and installing hardware to meet client needs
  • Providing technical assistance for a variety of clients
  • Diagnosing computer-related issues
  • Resolving computer-related problems
  • Remotely assist clients to address hardware or software issues
  • Following up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Assist and train other staff members on applications and offerings from the IT Department
  • Writing, editing, and revising documentation and manuals for software and hardware
  • Able to maintain an inventory and log activity.

Qualifications

  • Must be customer-oriented with excellent verbal skills
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft products
  • Proficiency with mobile computing is a plus
  • Able to demonstrate generalized proficiency in other computer-related disciplines
