The PIP No-Fault Claims Representative is responsible for helping our customers get back on the road after an accident by adjusting first-party auto claims with PIP and Med Pay exposures. In addition, you will assure delivery of “best in class” customer service and contribute to the quality of our claims handling through excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Every day is different as you work to resolve problems and we ask that you be willing to work hard in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. It is also expected this person exhibit strong interpersonal skills with other team members, while providing strong contributions to overall company and claims department success.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates, negotiates, adjusts, settles and/or resolves the medical component of first party auto claims.
  • Reviews medical records and medical billings, issuing payments as appropriate.
  • Thoroughly note all accident details, communicating directly with persons involved to determine coverage and liability history and associated implications. 
  • Submits required forms and applications on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Contact with insureds, claimants, business partners, witnesses and experts as needed.
  • Demonstrates ownership attitude with the ability to be analytical and make accurate decisions.
  • Personal computer literacy with proficiency in the use of Word and Excel.
  • Ensures all operations are consistent with the stated mission and direction set forth by Traders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. High School diploma is required.
  • Previous PIP and med pay experience is a plus.
  • Confident and comfortable verbal and written communicator
  • Some level of auto insurance experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster license in required states.
